Local businesses go head to head for charity

Fortress IT and local businesses have raised over five hundred pounds for charity at the "Humber Bridge Bash".

As one of the sponsors of the event, Fortress IT held a variety of challenges for local businesses in order to raise money for charity. The Fortress IT Zone raised in excess of eight hundred pounds. Five hundred pounds has been presented to the winning team at Licolnshire based, Chartered Accountants, Forrester Boyd who came first in the challenges.

The challenges took place over the four days of the celebrations at the Humber Bridge and included a timed treasure trail, assault course, Royal Marines 'rolling rock' and finished with the Royal Marines 'death slide' from the Humber Bridge to the foreshore on the North Bank. Fortress would like to thank all the teams who took part in the challenges and would also like to wish all the best to the charities for whom the money was raised. These included the Teenage Cancer Trust, the Samaritans and the two charities chosen by Forrester Boyd, namely the Lindsey Blind Society and St Andrews Hospice.
